“Aspen Rustic”:  Rustic is not really a word that comes to mind when you think of Aspen.  Many times when you think of Aspen, you’re dreaming of all the ritz and glam that comes with a celebrity-filled, exorbitantly expensive ski town.  But there is a place for rustic themed weddings within all of the glamour.  We can simply, “Aspen-ify” the highly trendy Rustic theme so that it has a home here amongst not only grandiose of venues such as: The Little Nell and The St. Regis, but set in the majestic beauty of our outdoors and the ranches found all around.

Rustic inspired weddings are typically full of twinkle lights, draped fabrics, lace, twine, burlap, candles, and mason jars.  For years now this “theme” has been trending. But, instead of taking a turn south, it keeps reinventing itself every year into something more chic, romantic, and charming; a timeless throwback to bygone eras.

For 2017 say hello to the New Rustic, or what I’m calling, Aspen Rustic: hanging Edison lights, handmade farm tables, wide open outdoor spaces, wine barrels, unique dessert displays, pinecones, and succulents!

As the weather in Aspen and the Colorado Mountains starts to cool off, local wedding planners are getting excited!  (Not just because it’s almost the season of FALL and all things PUMPKIN.)  It means we are entering proposal and engagement season.  Which means soon brides will be looking for the inspiration for their weddings!  So, Bubbles & Bowties is reviewing some of the best wedding theme trends, starting with Aspen Rustic…..
