Carrie and Warne’s Aspen wedding was full of all things western: bandana print fabric, red lanterns, hay bales, teepees, wildflower bouquets, denim, cowboy boots, campfire, ranch land, yard games, and BBQ. But mostly, it was full of LOVE!
The bride and groom celebrated with close friends and family on one of Aspen’s sprawling private ranch lands: Capital Creek Ranch. The land, managed by Snowmass Creek Outfitters, sits amongst towering views of what was once planned to be Snowmass Village and Ski Mountain.
The drive up, past Aspen’s sole monastery, is truly a feast of prime Colorado landscape. Carrie and Warne are both avid outdoorsmen (and women). They hunt, fish, ride horses, and train doves to fly home. They had a vision to set up some yard games (provided by Replay Sports in Aspen), and serve BBQ (deliciously prepared by High on the Hog), while their friends and family spent an intimate evening together under a starlit sky. With the groom being an Aspen native and the bride a long-time local, they had plenty of company to share a drink and a story with around the campfire.
It was the perfect day for an Aspen Wedding. The sky was a signature Colorado Blue Bird. Carrie wore a big bridal skirt, repurposed from a close friends wedding dress, with a chambray top, a flower crown, and carried a gorgeous wildflower bouquet. (Modern West Floral Company out of Carbondale, created the array of wildflowers used throughout the wedding.)
The music filled the night air with Colorado campfire worthy tunes. And Carrie and Warne got themselves hitched!…Surrounded by the people they love the most.
